Butchers Paper

Butchers Paper for Packing, Masking and Drop Sheets

Butchers paper, also known as newsprint, is a general-purpose packing paper that tears to size and does a dozen jobs around a busy operation. It wraps and protects goods, interleaves and separates stacked items, masks off areas during finishing work and lays down as a drop sheet on benches and floors. The paper is absorbent and comes in large sheets, so it covers quickly and soaks up moisture where it is needed. Premium Packaging supplies butchers paper in bulk to removalist, dispatch, manufacturing and finishing operations across Australia, delivered from our Sydney base.

Why Newsprint Paper

Newsprint is the practical choice for jobs that get through a lot of paper. It tears cleanly to whatever size the job needs, lies flat to cover a surface, and absorbs moisture rather than pooling it, which is why it suits packing, masking and drop-sheet work. The large sheet sizes mean fewer sheets to cover an area, and because it is paper, used sheets go into paper recycling. For general packing and protection where a heavy wrap is not needed, butchers paper is the everyday paper to reach for.

Butchers Paper or Kraft Paper

Match the paper to the job. Butchers paper is a lightweight, absorbent newsprint for general packing, masking and drop sheets. For a stronger wrapping and void-fill paper, kraft paper rolls give a tougher kraft sheet on a roll, and for cushioning and surface protection when wrapping awkward shapes, corrugated cardboard rolls add body. Many operations keep butchers paper for light packing and masking and kraft for heavier wrapping.
